Dental Implants
Dental implants are a great option to help restore one’s smile and function. They are a permanent replacement for missing or extracted adult teeth. With a success rate of 98%, dental implants are one of the rare medical/dental surgical procedures with such a high success rate.
When teeth are missing/removed the underlying jaw bone remodels and begins to atrophy, adjacent teeth start to move and this combination can significantly deteriorate the health status of the remaining dentition. With early intervention with a dental implant these complications can be prevented. A titanium screw is meticulously placed in the jaw bone and serves as the tooth root (under the gums). After adequate healing has occurred the next steps are taken by your referring dentist or prosthodontist to place a crown on that implant. Once this process is complete a dental implant will look and feel just like a natural tooth!
With the aid of our in-house CT scanner and digital intra-oral scanner, our doctors can accurately and predictably diagnose, plan and execute a successful result.
Dr. Hesam and Dr. Ali are both experienced dental surgeons in dental implant placement. At True North Dental Surgery, we deliver excellence with confidence to our patients and provide warranty on all our dental implants.

Bone Grafting
Bone grafting is intended to regenerate bone by providing a solid foundation for dental implants or other restorative treatments. Whether you’re considering dental implants or need to address bone loss around your natural teeth, bone grafting may play a pivotal role in enhancing the success and longevity of your dental health.
In some cases, there might not be adequate bone volume to place an implant due to anatomical structures such as the sinus membrane. In these cases, a simultaneous sinus lift procedure can be done at the time of implant placement to promise a solid foundation for a successful dental implant.
A 3D radiograph or Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) will be obtained at our office for patients wanting to pursue dental implant placement. This unique radiograph will allow our doctors to carefully diagnose, virtually plan and clinically execute a successful dental implant.

Sinus Lift
Usually when teeth are extracted the underlying jaw bone remodels and atrophies. In the upper jaw, one of the consequences of this, is the lack of minimum bone height (8-10mm) required under the sinuses to place a dental implant.
A sinus lift or “sinus augmentation” procedure is a specialized dental procedure designed to increase the height of bone in the upper jaw for dental implants. This procedure is often performed at the same time of dental implant placement for patient comfort. Once the sinus membrane is gently lifted, bone graft material is placed in the area to allow for a dental implant of adequate height to be placed.
This meticulous yet predictable surgery has success rates ranging from 86-100% based on current literature, however our clinician’s success rates have been higher than 95%.
After 4-6 months when the bone graft in the sinus and implant have consolidated and healed, patients would be referred back to their dentist to place a crown on the implant. The benefit is our patients can safely, and comfortably smile and chew food like they would with their own natural teeth.

Teeth-In-A-Day (TIAD)
The “Teeth in a Day” procedure is a dental treatment that provides patients with dental implants and a full set of replacement teeth in just one appointment. This is often referred to as “All-on-4” or “same-day implants.” Advanced dental imaging technology is used to plan the implant position and design the new teeth. This procedure is highly beneficial for individuals who have lost most or all of their teeth or have bad teeth which require removal and are looking for an effective replacement solution. It offers significant improvements in eating, speaking, and overall dental health, along with an immediate aesthetic improvement. Unlike traditional dentures that are held in place by resting on gums, and by tissue adhesives, the “Teeth-In-a-Day” approach uses the implants to anchor the highly functional and esthetic teeth which prevents movement while eating and talking.
